Barrington Dog Park is the only dog park in the Brentwood area. It's unkempt, overrun by packs of dog walkers, and compares poorly with the dog parks in surrounding neighborhoods (Santa Monica, Culver City, Playa Vista, etc.). The park should' be renovated to include interactive elements, green spaces, and to improve the layout. VA vets could be employed to carry out the renovations and to oversee and take care of the park. Park admittance fees (daily/monthly/yearly passes) could fund the project, would help keep the space in good repair, and could serve as a means of employing additional veterans.
